Swagman E-Spec 2-Electric Bike Platform Rack Review - 2022 Nissan Frontier- Video
Hey, it's Ethan here at etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Swagman E-Spec Hitch Bike Rack and how it fits on our 2022 Nissan Frontier. E-Spec is a two bike platform-style bike rack, capable of supporting two bikes up to 70 pounds, and it's rated for use with your motor home, travel trailer, flat tow, and fifth wheel vehicles. So it's got a lot of different uses. It's gonna hold onto our bike primarily with these frame hooks here, as well as two straps, one on the front and one on the back wheel. So we do make frame contact and we would recommend against using carbon frame bikes. more

Hey, it's Ethan here at etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Yakima OnRamp hitch bike rack and how it fits on a 2022 Nissan Frontier. The OnRamp is gonna be a two bike platform style bike rack capable of supporting two bikes up to 66 pounds if you use it on road but it's also rated for your travel trailer, fifth wheel, motor homes and flat towed vehicles. So it does have an off-road rating but that's gonna drop it down to about 40 pounds. So if you wanna use it for that purpose, keep that in mind. It's a really solid bike rack though with a lot of nice features. more

Hey, it's Ethan here at etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Rocky Mounts Guide Rail Hitch Bike Rack and now it outfits on our 2022 Nissan Frontier. The Guide Rail is going to be a two bike platform style bike rack, capable of supporting two bikes up to 60 pounds a piece gonna hold onto them with this dual wheel mount design. So one of these hoops on either tire the front and the back so there's no frame contact at all. If you want to get your carbon frame bikes on here, you can. Alternative frame bikes will work as well up to e-bikes because of that weight capacity and there's no frame contact at all so none of those are gonna get damaged while you're moving. more

This is going to be the two bike with the two bike add-on so a four bike platform rack total with the ability to hold onto two 60 pound bikes in the back and two 30 pound bikes in the front. So definitely make sure that you're using those weight ratings accordingly. We can hold our e-bikes, heavier bikes with larger wheel bases in the back. So if you wanna carry around multiple bikes but you want the stability of a platform rack this is a great way to do it. There are some downsides to it too, though. Like the types of bikes this can carry it has a pretty average wake pass not ebike rated and it cannot tilt the weight. more

So it's got a really secure hold but it does make frame contact. So if you did wanna mix and match and use this with your carbon frame bikes, we'd recommend against it, or if you just have a nice paint job, 'cause either way it could damage the frame while you're driving. more

Reese Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2019 Nissan Frontier- Video
Colin: Hey guys, it's Colin here at etrailer and today we have a 2019 Nissan Frontier. We've been test fitting some hitch-mounted accessories to it. Right now we have the Reese 3 Bike Rack loaded up, and this is going to be a really nice and simple bike rack. It's going to allow you to get three bikes loaded up so you can haul them to and from your destination.Now, a lot of times even though you have a truck bed and a lot of times people will just throw those in there, sometimes you might have a tonneau cover, maybe it's already full of other cargo or tools or something like that and you can't fit your bikes in there, then this bike rack is going to be a nice and easy and cost effective solution to be able to get your bikes loaded and get them to the trails and then back home.Now, each bike is going to be secured at two different points. We do have two hook-and-loop straps securing the top tube into the cradles. Now, one thing I do want to point out, because it is cost effective it's not going to have as many bells and whistles as some other bike racks might have. more

It's a four-bike rack system with part number Y02464.One of the standout features on the SwingDaddy is its ability to hang four bikes and swing out to allow full access to the back. In order to swing it out, you're going to have to release the screw tab on the back, pull up on the gray lever, and push out. Once you get out about this far, you'll want to pull up on this tab and turn it in and continue pushing it out. Now you have full access. To return it, you'll need to push down on this tab. more

Hollywood Racks Trail-Rider Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2018 Nissan Frontier- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Nissan Frontier we're going to be test fitting the Hollywood Racks Trail Rider 2 bike rack system, part number HR200. This features two wheel wells that are adjustable for each bike. The bike will be held in place with two wheel straps on the front and rear wheel here, and by the padded hook on the top for the frame. This will accommodate many size bikes, but for smaller bikes may require an adapter bar.To remove the bike you want to release the straps on both wheels. Press the lever up and pull the hook up. You can now remove the pin here to lay this flat for easy removal. more

Thule Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2018 Nissan Frontier- Video
Speaker 1: Today, we're gonna be looking at the Thule T2 Pro XTB 2 Bike Platform Rack. Part number TH9034XT.Some of the best features on the Thule are the easy reach handle for lowering, and raising the bike. In the lower position, you can nearly open the tailgate all the way, but not quite.This rack will accommodate back bikes and children's bikes, but you know bikes of al sizes due to the need to not attach to the bike frame, but to the tyre.Additionally, to this mount, there is a strap in the back, which can be released by pressing down on the tab, and also the ratcheted to hold the bike tightly into place.The arm is easily released using the button here, and can be pushed forward to make the bike easy to take off. Additionally, on the top of the arm here is a lock feature, which can be used to keep your bike secure and is keyed to match the receiver as well.We're gonna be adding about 39 inches to the length of the vehicle in this position with, let's see, about 25 inches of ground clearance, and our closest point is gonna be about three and a half inches. Again, we can pull the lever to place it in the upright position allowing for easier parking, which will then change our maximum length to the vehicle to about 17 and a half inches.The other great feature is that, this bike rack will install toollessly. On the side, there is a pin that will go into the receiver hole and the lever that will tighten down, that can also be locked in place to keep it secure. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Nissan Frontier we're going to be test fitting the Swagman Chinook two bike platform rack, part number S64683.This has all the features of a nice premium rack. It'll accommodate numerous size bikes and it has straps from both the front and rear and a padded hook on top to protect your bike frame. The lever here will allow the bike rack to be tilted down for easy access to your hatch or tailgate. We can't quite lower the tailgate all the way with the bike rack in this position.The cradles for the wheels are adjustable using these knobs. Slide back and forth to accommodate different sizes and the straps can be released by pressing in on the cam buckle. The hook here has a lock on it to keep your bike secure and the lever would press in and lift up to release. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Nissan Frontier, we're going to be test fitting the Thule DoubleTrack Pro 2 Bike Platform Rack, part number TH9054. Some of the best features of this rack are its versatility and ease of adjustability. The wheel wells here will allow for fat bikes, road bikes and all other sizes of bikes. The easy to release lever allows for quick adjustability. The bike is held in with straps on the bottom here and also with a clamp here in the middle.To remove the straps, we'll press the lever, the cam buckle lever, and just pull the strap up. Speaker 1: Today on a 2018 Nissan Frontier we're going to be testing the tooly T2 classic two bike platform rack system, part number TH9044.This can also be extended to a four bike rack system which can be found as an accessory on etrailers website. It can be tilted down with this lever here. Oh first remove the pin and then pull the lever. Which will allow full access to the rear of our bed here. Simply lift up, lock it back into place and reinsert the pin.The bike's held in by a strap for the back wheel which is adjustable and the padded hook here on the front wheel. This is nice because it can accommodate multiple bikes of all sizes. more

Today on this 2016 Nissan Frontier, we'll be doing a test fit of the Thule Vertex tilting 4-bike rack. That's Part Number TH9029XT. Now I've already got it loaded up as you can see just to give you a good idea of what it's going to look like on the back of your Frontier. As you can see, it's a hanging-style bike rack. Our bike is secured in three spots. We've got two straps on the top tube and then one on the down tube. The one on the down tube is going to be our anti-sway. more

Swagman Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2016 Nissan Frontier- Video
Today in out 2016 Nissan Frontier, we'll be doing a test fit of the Swagman XC platform style 2 bike rack. That's part number S64650. Now it's a platform style rack as you can see here. We've already got it loaded up on the back of our Frontier just to give you an idea of what it's going to look like. It secures our bike in this one spot right here on top. It's got a frame hook that's going to go over the top of the frame as you see here. more

Kuat Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2016 Nissan Frontier- Video
Today on our 2016 Nissan Frontier, we're going to be doing a test of the Kuat transfer platform style free bike rack. That's part number TS03G. As I said, it's a platform style bike rack, our bike is going to rest on top of the platform here. I've already got it loaded up on the back of the Frontier here so we can get a good idea of what it's going to look like. It secures our bike in two spots. We have the wheel hook up front here, and then we have the rear wheel strap here. more

I've already got it loaded up on the back of the Frontier here just to give you an idea of what it's going to look like. It's a pretty sizable rack. As you can see, it's fairly large. It's going to secure our bike in 2 spots. more

Inno Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2016 Nissan Frontier- Video
Today on our 2016 Nissan Frontier, we'll be doing a test fit of the Inno Tire-Hold 00:00:06 platform-style 3-bike rack. That's part number INH305-306. As I said, it's a platform-style rack. Our bike is going to sit right on this platform here. It holds our bike in 2 places. We've got a front tire hold here, and then a rear tire hold, and then it kind of squeezes the bike together. more

Thule Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2015 Nissan Frontier- Video
Today on our 2015 Nissan Frontier we're test fitting the Thule Vertex Swing. This is a swing-away style 4 bike rack. It's been designed for us in 2-inch hitches. The part number on it is TH9031XT. The way this swing-away is going to work, you got a large black T-handle right here on the backside. What you want to do is unthread this. It will tilt down once we get it far enough out there. more

Thule Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2015 Nissan Frontier TH9029XT- Video
Today on our 2015 Nissan Frontier we're going to be doing a test fit on the Thule Vertex. This is a folding and tilting 4-bike rack. It's been designed for use with 1-1/4" or with 2" hitches. Part number on it is TH9029. Now the Vertex is going to use three cradles to hold each bike in place. We've got two up here for the top frame and then also an anti-sway cradle here on the back, which it does a pretty good job of keeping that bike from moving too far front and back. Now to release our straps we'll just pull down and out on them, sideways and out I guess on that rear one. more

Yakima StickUp Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2014 Nissan Frontier- Video
Today on our 2014 Nissan Frontier, we're going to be test fitting the Yakima StickUp 2 Bike platform style rack for 1-1/4- and 2-inch hitches part #Y02420. We'll begin our test fit by inserting the shank of our rack into the hitch on our vehicle. You'll want to watch for the hitch pinholes to line up. With those in line, we'll take the included anti-rattle hitch bolt, and thread that into place. We'll go ahead and get this hand tight and then we can finish it off with our wrench. Tightening this down will help take any extra play out of the shank of the rack, which helps to eliminate movement overall as you're going down the road. more
